My Experience With New Moon......

I went with my thirty-something friends to see NEW MOON....the midnight premiere.  But before that I attented the kick-off party.  We were served blood drinks, Dog Nuggets, and a lot other food with really neat names related to Edward and Bella and other things from the movie.

The walls were filled with movie posters and the hostess of the party was photo shopped into the poster.  It was a fantastic job.  There were also quotes from the books series all over the walls.  People were dressed in black and one friend wore her red contacts.  It was one of the best themed parties I had ever been to.

At 11:00 we headed for the movies about 10 minutes away.  When we arrived we were greeted by a line that started at the movie ran down the side of the building for about half a block, around the corner and another 200 feet or so.

Once inside we raced to try and find a seat.  Well, there were 16 of us.  We had no chance of sitting together.  There were two theaters open.  We quickly glanced at the first and decided to head for the second.  We started splitting off because there was only a seat here and there.

Myself and one friend ended up back in the first theater we had walked into in the second row.  My neck was breaking and the commercial stuff was going on and I was getting dizzy.  So, I told her to save my seat while I searched for two more seats...we agreed to use our cell phones to reconnect.

Off I went....I ended up in the theater where we had been before and found two seats four rows back....much better, believe me.  So I called the number on my cell phone, not realizing I did not have her cell number but only her home number.  A man answered.  It dawned on me that I was talking to her husband who was babysitting the kids.

Well, I quickly explained what I was doing.  I told him I would never remember the number if he gave it to me so he called her and we had a three way conversation.  My friend arrived three minutes later to join me.  We just got comfortable when another of our friends ran by telling us they had opened a third theater and they had two rows saved so we could all sit together...so off we went.

We sat in the 5th row dead center....What a hoot!!!  After all of that....I was not even close to being sleepy.  We all snuck in snacks and drinks....mine was an orange soda and pretzels(measured out)...(I'm on diet)!  Others had all sorts of vampire related stuff from the party.

Finally the movie started and we could all be heard happily munching....LOL....what an adventure.

I had a blast and we are scheduled to do the next one on June 30th.
