Hawaiin Waterfall.....a dream come true....

I was born in Honolulu in 1946.  I left when I was two.  I returned in May 2003 for the first time.  I returned again in August of the same year.  The first time was with my husband.  The second with three other women.  In May, I actually cried when I spotted the islands from the airplane.  I was overwhelmed with emotion.  I have visited Oahu, Maui, Big Island, and Kauai.

One of my fantasies was to swim in waterfalls.  I did that as often as I could.

I would love to go back again and spend even more time.  I felt at home there....like I belonged. :)

  1. Oh my, this waterfall is amazing! I would love to see one. I have been to Niagara Falls, but that is not the same as something like the one pictured above ~ I would love to swim in that pool below that falls. What a feeling that must be. It is nice that you have been back to Hawaii and I hope you can get back there again one day.

It sounds like you had a great time on your Florida trip. How exciting it must have been to have all those horses surrounding the vehicle. WOW!

  2. There's nothing Hawaiian about me - all Polish, but I think if I were there at this waterfall, I'd feel at home too!!

  4. I am not Hawaiin either, DEB....I am German and English....my Dad was stationed there right after the war. :) But I still had that connection. :)

  5. Isn't it funny how your place of birth can have such a strange hold on you? I feel like that with Greece, almost emotional, like coming home...even though I don't belong there any more.
Next time you are there, you make sure you spend lots of time in those waterfalls :-)
