Birds of a Feather....

This aphorism is has always fascinated me. For the most part I feel this saying holds true. Of course we know that there are always exception to the rules. I will start you out with one example:

1. Common Interests: Artists enjoy other artitsts and it can be broken down even further. For example, ACEO artists like to hang with other ACEO artists.

What other areas can you comment about that make the aphorism 'Birds of a Feather Flock Together' meaningful and true?

  1. Not sure that I can usefully add to that at the moment. Will give it some thoughtlater as I feel like I'm running on empty just now.

  2. I too am at a blank wall as all I can think of is that conservatives hang with conservatives, etc. All in all it is the same thing really. I believe we all like being around others that share common interest and beliefs.

  6. Wonderful point, Jamime. I think people step out all of the time....I mean it would be a boring life if we only accepted those of us who are just like us...but ultimately...we usually go back to what is familiar and similar.....for the most part. Even in New York and other large cities, people settle around like cultures for the most part...it does not mean they do not have other friends though.

  7. I agree with "birds of a feather", there is comfort in being able to comiserate and understand but then again "Opposites Attract" and that too opens so many doors to new friendships, thoughts, ideas.
