I'm a happy grandmother! I enjoy my family, my friends, and my life. I love to travel and love to post travel experiences. I like to 'piddle'. Are you familiar with that southern term? I would love to have you sign up to follow this humble blog. I need all the encouragement I can get. :) My name is Carole.

Happy Mother's Day, Mom!!
My mom died in 1984 of Alsheimers...or at least that is what the Doctor's said. I was never sure. I thought she might have had a series of mini strokes. She was ill for 8 years.
My Mom's whole life was her home and her family. She never worked outside of the home. She was a great Mom with great warmth and understanding. She had an engaging laugh and one trait I inherited from her is that we both snort when we get so tickled laughing that we can't get our breath. :)
My mother was beautiful too. She was beautiful inside and out.
She was married for 53 years when she died at age 78. She was five years older than my Dad and my Dad lived until he was 94.
My Mom's grandchildren were everything to her, but especially my daughter, Erin, as she was the only grandchild who lived close by. I know how she felt now that I have my little granddaughter, Sienna.
I love and miss you, Mom!

Happy Mother's Day Carole, beautiful picture of your mom and love your sharing with us. I had to laugh though as we have something else in common besides art - I snort when I can't stop laughing also.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Pam. Yes, she was everything to me. I really relied on her for so much. Her end was very sad. I would have wished for her to go suddenly in her sleep. :)
