Scrapbooking

One of my other loves in life is scrapbooking. It all started for me when my one and only grandchild was born almost five years ago. She has brought so many wonderful changes to my life.

I took care of her for three straight years three days a week. Because of this, I joined a Moms' Club in my area in order to socialize Sienna and met some fabulous young women and their children. They too have enriched my life more than I can say. Thirty years of age differences did not even phase them. For me, they keep me young.

Even after I no longer took care of my granddaughter, Sienna, I maintained my friendships with these young woman. In addition, I made some additional friends, who are my age, through Bunco and Canasta.

I started hosting a once a month Crop. It started with the Moms' Group but it has evolved into the melding of young and old. I now have a regular group of ladies who come to my house once a month to crop. It is such an enjoyable mix of people, ideas, ages, and discussions.

We all bring something to eat and have a wonderful pot-luck dinner as we crop.

I highly recommend that if you love scrapbooking, find a group to crop with. It is a ball and it will enrich your life beyond anything you thought possible.
