Monday...Cards, friends, and contentment....

Monday, I spent the day with the girls making greeting cards.  There are 7 of us and We are all in our 60's.  We had such a good time.  We were making all sorts of cards....Christmas, Birthdays.....Iris Folding, stamping.

We talked, we laughed, we ate, and above all else we selected colors, papers, ink, ribbons....helping each other make the best choices.

It was a comforting day.....I started thinking.....how lucky I was to have such wonderful friends and that we would always be there for each other through good times and bad......nothing more comforting than knowing that:)

And....this is what I accomplished:

This is a card I made for my daughter's Birthday.  It was meant to be an Iris Folded Card but I decided to piece together pieces of foil to give her glitter and the appearance of more realistic scales.

This is a Best Teacher Apple Card.  This will be going in my shop.  When you open the card there is an insert with the outside flap showing solid green apples.  Then the inside of the insert is white and in red it says Best Teacher.
