Pentagon Memorial.

One of the best memorials and most moving for me was the one set up at the pentagon for those died there on 9-11.  It was so well thought out.  Just very simple and peaceful....a zen quality.  If you faced the pentagon the names on the benches were those who died in the pentagon.  If you faced away from the pentagon the names were those who died in the airplane.  Cantelever benches represented each person who died.

 Water flowed under each bench.

Beautiful benches that look like parts of a plane.

 At the perimeter of the site there are blocks with the year each person who died was born.  This flag was put there.




 


You can see how the names are put on the bench and the water below each bench.

Well this will give you a feel for this beautiful memorial.  Hope you enjoyed it.
