Grizzy made her greatest journey today!

My beautiful all gray kitty was put to sleep today.  She was 17 years old.  I feel like a part of me is missing as she was like an appendage.  She was my cat.  She almost always was sitting in my lap.  After we buried her today, I sat down in my computer chair and burst into tears.  It hit me that she would never ever sit in my lap again.  I have a stuffed animal cat that resembles Grizzy.  I immediately went and got it and it is sitting in my lap as I type.  I feel so much better.

My husband is very torn apart as well.  We buried her today in the back yard.  We wrapped her in my nightgown that had not been washed so she could smell me and we put a little stuffed mouse in there with her so she would have a toy.  We put her bed in the bottom of the grave and placed her in it.  We put her by a plant in our backyard.  She truly was a wonderful cat.

She will be sorely missed.

  6. Oh look at her in that photo up there, her look says "I will always love you!" And she will. It's wonderful you had a long 17 years with her and every moment a memory. Cry all you need to, you have to. I have tears for you. I love all animals, they're all so precious. Hugs!
