Happy Father's Day!

This me, my daughter, and her husband, with my Dad in 2003

Our Treasure Hunt will start tomorrow at 9:00 AM EST.

I just posted a poem about my Mother and her death as it related to me. I hope you will read it.

But, today is for Dads. My Dad lived to be 95 years old. He lived alone and was still driving until the day the went into the hospital. He never left the hospital. A month later he was dead. Luckily, he lived in the same area as I do, so I was able to spend a lot of time with him.

My Dad was a military man. He fought in WWII. Actually he flew transport planes. His career was the Air Force and thus I am a military brat. I would never exchange the wonderful life I have had as a kid traveling the world. Of course, at the time, I was not always happy, because it is hard to pick-up and leave every two or three years.

I remember my Dad calling me his little princess when I was a kid. He used to tell me constantly to straighten my shoulders like a princess. My posture was not the best but I guess it turned out okay. LOL.

My Dad was one of those guys who was always there for you, no matter what. I just always knew he was there for me even as an adult. There were many times in my life when I was younger when he helped me out to get through rough times.

I always thought he was the smartest man in the world too. He was close anyway. :)

But what I admired him for the most is the way he took care of my Mom. So, be sure to read the poem...just click on "older post". Happy Father's Day, Dad. And Happy Father's day to all fathers out there in the world. :)

My Dad died on Christmas Day four years ago. God Bless you, Dad.
