I'm a happy grandmother! I enjoy my family, my friends, and my life. I love to travel and love to post travel experiences. I like to 'piddle'. Are you familiar with that southern term? I would love to have you sign up to follow this humble blog. I need all the encouragement I can get. :)
My name is Carole.
This photo was taken in my back yard at my former home. We lived on a golf course. These Sand Hill Cranes are my favorite birds. They are really special and are quite loved here in Florida. I have seen them stop traffic many times.
Yes, they are fabulous and also my favorite Florida bird. People around here stop traffic and everything for them. They like to walk across streets and highways....I hold my breath each time I see it. They are large birds but can fly quite well too.
we get these in a mass migration here in Nebraska in the spring. they're all over the corn fields for a while then continue up to Alaska and hang out in my brother's back yard for the summer. When they're here you can hear them in huge flocks flying overhead. It's pretty cool.
Carole, they are beautiful birds, I've never seen these in person before.
ReplyDeleteOh so glad you like them :)
